When it comes to heart health, North Oaks offers several interventional cardiology treatments.

  • Alcohol Septal Ablation (ASA) - A minimally invasive procedure which relieves symptoms associated with an abnormal thickening of the heart muscle.
  • Angioplasty - A procedure that uses a balloon at the point of a blockage to widen an artery. A stent may be used to prop open the artery to improve blood flow.
  • Atrial Septal Defect Closure (ASD) - A minimally invasive procedure, as compared to open heart surgery, that closes defects in patients with secundum ASD.
  • Aortic, Mitral and Pulmonic Valvuloplasty - A less invasive balloon procedure in which a narrowed heart valve is stretched open without open-heart surgery. This procedure can be performed on patients who are not candidates for valve replacements.
  • Peripheral Angiogram - A test that uses X-rays and dye to help your doctor find and open blocked areas in one or more of the arteries that supplies blood to your legs.
  • Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) Intervention – A less invasive procedure that may be an alternative to CABG or Coronary Artery Bypass Graft. For patients who have at least one artery that is completely closed (CTO) and have had previous attempts of repair
