CT Scan

What is a CT Scan?

Using computer enhanced X-rays, CT scans can distinguish between bone, tissue, fat, gas, and fluid for clear results that allow doctors to diagnose the problem and prescribe an appropriate course of treatment.

CT scans are used to detect and diagnose:

  • Brain tumors
  • Blood clots
  • Stroke
  • Trauma
  • Cancer
  • Enlarged lymph nodes
  • Pancreatic disease
  • Back problems

Timing is everything when you need answers. North Oaks offers ultra-fast computerized tomography (CT) scans. Our CT scans provide a glimpse inside the human body to assist your doctor with your diagnosis. Our patient-focused, registered CT technologists utilize their skills and knowledge to get the best information from your scan for our radiologists to interpret.

Results are provided to your doctor typically within 48 hours of your visit. Studies are read by a board-certified radiologist with North Oaks Imaging Associates, and are available to your doctor in a CD format upon request.
