A one-day conference covering topics in trauma care from pre-hospital to discharge.

Physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, pre-hospital personnel and nursing students are invited to attend this educational opportunity. The symposium objective is to cover the advances in management, techniques, protocols and guidelines for optimal care of the injured patient.

Contact hours of continuing nursing education are pending approval and will be provided upon successful completion of this activity.*

*North Oaks Health System is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Louisiana State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation​.

Vendors

Regional and local leaders in trauma care will speak to an anticipated 200 attendees. The attendees will be from multidisciplinary areas including, but not limited to: pre-hospital providers, physicians, registered nurses, social workers and leaders in trauma care throughout our state. Our goal is to provide national trauma education for our local trauma providers.

Attendees will have approximately two hours of dedicated time with vendors and are encouraged to visit throughout the day.

Cancellation Policy

North Oaks reserves the right to cancel this symposium if enrollment does not meet registration requirements.

FOR NORTH OAKS EMPLOYEES: North Oaks Health System will cover registration for its employees who attend the symposium. If you register and are unable to attend, you must inform your supervisor by Monday, Oct. 21. If you do not provide advance notice and do not attend, you will be charged a $40 no-show fee, which will be payroll deducted on Thursday, Nov. 14 .

Intense preparation goes into this event - from managing work schedules to ordering food and materials - so your commitment to attend is taken seriously.

For all other attendees: A $20 fee will be charged to participants who individually cancel before Monday, Oct. 21. A refund is not available if a participant cancels within 5 days of the symposium.
