Osteoporosis Detection

Located at North Oaks Diagnostic Center

Osteoporosis, a disorder that causes bones to become brittle and break more easily, is caused by loss of calcium and other mineral components. Often thought of as a disease of the frail elderly, it’s a chronic condition that begins during the forties and fifties, most often affecting women. A bone density test uses X-rays to determine if you have osteoporosis.
