Felix L. Torres, experienced internist, specializes in the prevention,
diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and diseases in adults.
A resident of Louisiana since 1994, Dr. Torres is a native of Puerto Rico
and earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central Del Este in
San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He performed his internship
at Regional Hospital Caguas in Caguas, Puerto Rico and served as Chief
Resident at Guayama Area Hospital in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He is a member
of the American Society of Internal Medicine and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Torres takes pride in being detailed oriented and creative with every
patient. He is specially trained in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as medical conditions related
to heart, renal, pulmonary, and thyroid. Dr. Torres is highly experienced
in preventive medicine with a focus on geriatric patients. He also has
received special training in wound care with hyperbaric oxygen therapy
and interpretation of sleep studies.
