The following submission was provided by Jessica of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services.
While caring for a patient recently, Physical Therapist Allison learned
in the course of their conversation that she was in need of winter clothes
and shoes. Known for her big heart, Allison responded to her patient’s
need by collecting clothing from her own home for the patient to choose
from and then share the remainder with her roommates. Allison also looked
for larger shoes to accommodate the patient’s orthotics requirements.
It was great to witness the appreciative reaction of the patient and her
caregiver to Allison’s selfless act of kindness.
Allison’s actions are a perfect example of our motto, “doing
whatever it takes” to help our patients.
