Case Management Supervisor Bonnie Receives Nurse Excellence Award

Case Management Supervisor Bonnie has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award.
"Taking time to understand my patient's point of view helps us set realistic health care goals together," shares Bonnie.

Bonnie launched her North Oaks career 27 years ago in 1988 as a Staff Nurse and then Charge Nurse in the Emergency Room. She joined Case Management in 2006 and became a supervisor for the department in 2014.

She graduated from Florida Parishes Vocational School’s LPN Program in Greensburg and Charity Hospital’s School of Nursing in New Orleans, where she earned a Registered Nursing diploma.

Bonnie and her husband Grafton have three grown children—Lauren, Rebekah and Christopher, who is married to Kimberly—and two grandchildren— Camdyn, 10, and Landon, 8.

Bonnie counts traveling, sightseeing and photography among her hobbies and is known for her “green thumb” and “plant whisperer” abilities.
“Bonnie’s devotion to her patients shines through in her work," asserts Case Management Director Laura Bass. "She stops at nothing to make sure each and every patient’s needs are met. I admire the way she encourages and mentors her team.”
