Medicine Unit Charge Nurse Adria has been honored with the North Oaks Health
System Nurse Excellence Award.
"Making my patients feel welcome and valued is important to me,"
Adria shares.
Adria has worked at North Oaks for 8 years. In 2007, she joined our team
as a Telemetry Unit Staff Nurse. In 2012, she transferred as a Staff Nurse
to the Medicine Unit for which she became a Charge Nurse in 2014.
She earned an associate degree in Nursing from Louisiana Tech University
in Ruston and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana
University in Hammond.
She lives in Folsom where she belongs to Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Baking, watching movies and shopping are her favorite pastimes, and she
values time spent with her twin sister and four nephews most of all.
“Adria’s coworkers tell me that they know they can go to her
with any question because she is a great listener, teacher and problem-solver,"
asserts Medicine Unit Nursing Manager Edna Williams-Scott. "She sets
high standards for herself, her team and all who take care of our patients.”
