Intermediate Care Unit Staff RN Frank Receives Nurse Excellence Award

Intermediate Care Unit Staff RN Frank has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award.

“Watching a patient improve day to day and being able to smile and wave goodbye to him or her as they leave the hospital for home gives me a sense of accomplishment," Frank shares.

Frank joined the Intermediate Care Unit team as a Staff Registered Nurse in 2012.
He also serves as a Relief Charge Nurse and helps mentor new staff members as a Preceptor.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University.

A New Orleans native, Frank lives in Franklinton and looks forward to getting married to his fiancée Nicole in May. (Nicole also works in the medical field as a Nurse Practitioner.)

Before becoming a nurse, Frank worked as a professional artist for 13 years. He continues to paint as a hobby and also counts reading, watching movies and traveling among his pastimes.
“Frank has excellent clinical skills. But what really sets him apart is his compassion for his patients and their families,” notes Charles Abrams, Critical Care Nursing Unit Manager.
