Quality Control Specialist Mary has received the North Oaks Health System
Employee of the Month Award for October 2016.
“I enjoy making a difference in people’s lives,” Mary shares.
Mary joined the North Oaks team in 1998 as a certified nursing assistant.
Before accepting her current position in 2015, she also gained experience
throughout the health system as a unit secretary, monitor tech and scheduler.
Born in Hammond, Mary graduated from Jewel Sumner High School in Kentwood
and studied at Southeastern Louisiana University.
She lives in Osyka, Mississippi, with her husband Brenan and their son
Tyler, 10. Two grown children— Kristine and Brenae—and two
grandchildren— Jyslin, 7, and Kyrie, 1—round out her family.
Away from work, Mary enjoys family travels, line dancing and a weekly date
night with Brenan, which they’ve consistently enjoyed for 26 years.
She also serves on the board of directors for the Amite Bitty Ball Association.
“Mary is energetic, cheerful and always looking for opportunities
to help others. She plays a key role in seeing to it that all who visit
North Oaks experience a clean, safe environment," affirms Pam Vaccaro
Infection Prevention/Environmental Services Director.
