Mark T. Anderson will succeed Shirley Hsing as Chief Financial Officer
(CFO) of North Oaks Health System. Anderson’s appointment follows
an extensive national search for a CFO to succeed Hsing upon her retirement
scheduled for Dec. 31, 2018. He will join the North Oaks team on July
16 and work closely with Hsing over the next six months to ensure a smooth
transition.
Anderson has three decades of financial leadership experience at the CFO
level gained on both the not-for-profit and for-profit sides of health
care. For the past seven years, Anderson has served as CFO for Lane Regional
Medical Center in Zachary. Prior to that, he held health care financial
leadership positions for organizations in Virginia, Texas, as well as
Louisiana. Professionally, he is a member of the Healthcare Financial
Management Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and
Louisiana Hospital Association (LHA).
Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Louisiana Tech
University in Ruston and a master’s in Business Administration from
Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
“Mark’s knowledge of Louisiana hospital service district facilities,
like North Oaks Health System, and experience as a member of the LHA’s
CFO expert panel make him uniquely qualified to lead our financial strategic
plan,” affirms North Oaks Health System President and Chief Executive
Officer Michele Sutton, FACHE. “We are thrilled that he is joining
our team.”
As a teen, Anderson attained the rank of Eagle Scout, which is the highest
rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America. Anderson shares that this
instilled in him a calling to leadership and community service so much
so that each community that he has called home has benefitted from his
active participation in service organizations, such as the Kiwanis Club,
Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and YMCA.
