With more than 10 years of leadership experience in health care, Kanna
Page of LaPlace has been promoted to Vice President of Clinics for North
Oaks Health System.
As such, Page will provide leadership for North Oaks Physician Group’s
network of more than 30 primary, specialty and walk-in clinics offering
nearly 100 providers.
Page joined the North Oaks Physician Group team in 2015 as the regional
director for
primary care services. In this role, Page has put her health care administration skills to work
providing direction for 14 clinics, including:
Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology in Hammond and Livingston;
North Oaks Perinatology Clinic in Hammond;
North Oaks Occupational Health Services in Hammond; North Oaks Primary Care in
Denham Springs, Hammond,
Livingston,
Independence and
Walker; North Oaks Family Medicine clinics on the
medical center and
rehabilitation hospital campuses in Hammond; North Oaks Walk-In Clinics in
Hammond and
Walker; and
Northshore Internal Medicine Associates in Hammond. She also has been providing oversight for the physician group’s
patient access team and the health system’s switchboard operators.
In her three years as a regional director, she has also successfully on-boarded
nine new physicians and five nurse practitioners to clinics in the primary
care service line.
Page graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in Washington, D.C.,
with a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management. She earned a
master’s degree in Health Care Administration with a concentration
in Health Systems Management from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical
Medicine in New Orleans. While pursuing her master’s degree, she
was recipient of the Tulane Epstein Leadership Award. She also is a graduate
of the National Council for Behavioral Health’s Addressing Health
Disparities Leadership Program.
Page’s health care administration experience also encompasses working
for the Metropolitan Human Services District in New Orleans from 2013
to 2015 in numerous roles, including: administrative program director,
Department of Health and Hospitals program monitor and as a contractor.
Prior to that, she worked as: clinic operations manager for Ochsner Health
System in New Orleans for three years; an administrative resident for
the Interim Louisiana State University Public Hospital in New Orleans
for one year; and as pricing coordinator and program coordinator for Cardinal
Health/Advogent in New Jersey for four years.
Professionally, she belongs to the American College of Healthcare Executives
and the National Association of Health Services Executives. She volunteers
as a youth leader for St. Raymond and St. Leo the Great Catholic Church
in New Orleans.
North Oaks Health System’s Chief Ambulatory Officer Percival Kane
