Rehabilitation Services Director Mac has received the North Oaks Health
System Leader of the Month award for December 2018.
Mac joined the North Oaks Rehabilitation Services team in 1989 as a Rehab
Technician and became a Staff Physical Therapist in 1992. He was promoted
to Coordinator of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services in 2008 and Director
of Rehabilitation Services in 2014.
"I'm committed to doing good for our patients, staff and community,"
Mac shares.
Mac earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Louisiana
State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He was drawn to
the profession due to personal experience with athletic injuries and has
found it rewarding to help athletes and non-athletes regain function over
the years.
He lives in Mandeville with his wife, Lori. They have two children –
Zacary, 22, and Savanna, 20.
In addition to family time, Mac likes to read, travel, practice yoga and
play guitar. Professionally, he belongs to the American Physical Therapy
Association.
“Mac leads with action and always encourages others to ‘make
it a great day,'" affirms Vice President of Ancillary Services
Sarah Mitchell. "He puts our patients and team before himself and
revels in their accomplishments. His energy and passion foster a family
atmosphere.“
