Patient Education Coordinator Heidi has received the North Oaks Health
System Nurse Excellence Award for December 2018.

Heidi worked as a Nurse Tech in Women’s Services from 2008 to 2010.
She returned to North Oaks in 2016 as Patient Education Coordinator.
"Making a difference daily is my goal," shares Heidi.
Heidi earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing through Southeastern
Louisiana University. She also is a Certified Diabetes Educator.
Heidi and her husband Anthony live in Hammond with their children –
Ryleigh, 12, and Reid, 5.
Away from work, Heidi dedicates her time to family and friends. She’s
also a Group Fitness Instructor at a local fitness center and an Assistant
Coach for the junior varsity girls’ basketball team at St. Joseph
Catholic School in Ponchatoula.
“In the midst of educating patients who have diabetes, Heidi keeps
the big picture in sight and searches for the difference she can make
for each individual," affirms Chief Human Resources Officer Jeff
Jarreau. "She focuses on reassuring her patients that chronic disease
management is a journey instead of a sprint.”
