What do I do if I don’t have Medical Insurance?
If you don’t have insurance, you may qualify for Medicaid. The State
of Louisiana is allowing more adults, age 19-64 with a limited income,
to receive Medicaid benefits. How much you get depends on how much you
make each year.
For information on Medicare, Medicaid and other government supported health
care programs, visit
www.cms.hhs.gov.
And, if you already get SNAP, you may already be registered. If you think
you might qualify, call our Financial Assistance Center at (985) 230-2580.
We’ll help you find out and do the paperwork.
