Providing Early Education to Growing Minds

On-site child care and early education is available at North Oaks. The facility, which is owned by North Oaks, is managed by Bright Horizons Family Solutions of Watertown, Massachusetts and is licensed by the Louisiana State Department of Social Services Bureau of Licensing as a Class “A” Child Care Center. The center meets state-mandated child-to-teacher ratios with 25+ educators and often surpasses these requirements.

Safe and Nurturing Environment

Bright Horizons offers a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Childcare costs with Bright Horizons are payroll deductible for North Oaks employees, and discounts are given on sibling enrollment.

Tailored Curriculum Designed for Engagement

Bright Horizons’ curriculum, The World at their Fingertips®, is a unique curriculum designed to engage children at each age level in active learning that prepares them for school, while helping them achieve their individual potential and fostering a spirit of community. Built around extensive research, current technology and developmentally appropriate instruction, the curriculum introduces concepts of math, science, language, culture, environment, art and health.

Great Places for Babies

This program provides a warm, welcoming environment where babies can thrive and grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity. Emphasis is placed on creating a loving, healthy and safe place for your child to feel secure. Nurturing child development professionals are responsible for your baby’s prime times: those critical one-to-one moments of caring, playing and communication.

The Growing World of Toddlers

Hands-on exploration and social interactions are used to help your child learn about the world in a safe and engaging environment. Through the guidance of our experienced teachers, toddlers succeed in a program designed to meet their individual ages and stages.

Ready for School

To help prepare children to meet the expectations of elementary school, this program engages children intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. Preschool and Kindergarten Prep classrooms encourage children to learn through hands-on exploration guided by teachers who inspire curiosity and creative thinking. The goal is to produce well-rounded, confident children with the ability to solve problems, make decisions and engage with others. The program follows the standards set by our local school system.
