Laboratory Services

Waiting on test results can be stressful. You deserve accurate and timely results. When you need blood work, a urinalysis, biopsy results or any laboratory test, the North Oaks Department of Laboratories has what it takes to process your test with the highest level of quality, efficiency and accuracy.

By using our Automated Laboratory System, the only hospital-based system of its kind on the north shore, we are able to process lab results 24 hours a day, 7 days a week -including weekends and holidays. We average 2,600 tests per day, and more than 790,000 tests annually. In addition, we also process most organ and tissue specimens right here in our own Anatomical Pathology lab instead of sending to an offsite lab for evaluation. This provides quicker results to your health care provider and faster diagnosis and treatment for you.

Exception: If you are scheduled for “pre-op testing” before your surgery, please report to the main hospital. Remember to check in with Admissions when you arrive for any outpatient testing.
