Telemetry Unit West and Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Unit Manager Britanie,
RN, has been honored with the North Oaks Nurse Excellence Award.
Britanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from William Carey
University in Hattiesburg, Miss. She joined the North Oaks team in February
2007 as a Staff Nurse and accepted her current position in August 2012.
She received the Nurse Excellence Award once before in June 2012 and was
recently honored by the Tangipahoa District Nurses Association as a “Top
Nurse” for 2015. She is currently studying for certification as
a nurse executive through the American Nurse Association.
“Britanie is an avid patient and employee advocate,” shares
Vice President of Heart Health Services Christi Marceaux. “She strives
for excellence in everything she does and maintains high expectations
for herself, her staff and the services we offer to our patients.”
A Bogalusa native, Britanie resides in Independence with her husband Trent
and 3-year-old daughter, Avery. She enjoys continuous learning, studying
for certification as a nurse executive, fishing, reef keeping and riding
all-terrain vehicles. Britanie belongs to the Louisiana State Nurses Association,
Tangipahoa District Nurses Association and shares her expertise as a member
of several North Oaks’ committees.
