Lewis, MD, will join North Oaks Physician Group’s newest clinic,
North Oaks Surgical Associates, effective June 8, 2015. New patient appointments

Dr. Lewis has practiced in Hammond and performed surgeries at North Oaks
Medical Center for the past 14 years. She also has practiced with the
North Oaks Multispecialty Group staff in Livingston since 2011.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Lewis earned her medical
degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine in New
Orleans. She completed both her internship and residency through LSU Health
Sciences Center, also in New Orleans. She went on to complete a 2-year
critical care fellowship with an emphasis in post-operative intensive
care at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Lewis specializes in the diagnosis and surgical intervention of complex
conditions and has extensive experience with laparoscopic surgical procedures,
including, but not limited to: splenectomy, gall bladder removal, hernia
repair and colon resections for both non-cancerous and cancerous tumors.
She also is skilled in thyroidectomy, as well as breast cancer-related
procedures ranging from conservation to mastectomy with immediate reconstruction
(performed in conjunction with a plastic surgeon).
North Oaks Surgical Associates operates clinics in Hammond and Livingston.
The Hammond practice is located within Suite 202 of the North Oaks Office
Plaza at 15770 Paul Vega, MD, Drive. The Livingston clinic is located
in Suite 210 at 17199 Spring Ranch Road within North Oaks-Livingston Parish
Medical Complex.
