[PONCHATOULA, La.]—The Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting today
for North Oaks Walk-In Clinic, located at 530 W. Pine St., Suite 1, in
the Gabriel Shopping Center off Highway 22.
Representatives of the Chamber included Dr. Karen Carter, President; and
Cathy Allen, Board of Directors member. North Oaks officials in attendance
were A.J. Bodker, Board of Commissioners Vice Chairman; Dr. Ann Carruth,
Blake Daniels and James Nelson, Board of Commissioners members; James
E. Cathey Jr., President/Chief Executive Officer; Michele Sutton, Executive
Vice President/Chief Operating Officer; Sean Casteel, Assistant Vice President
of Clinics; and Deborah Robert, Clinic Manager.
The clinic is staffed by experienced physicians who provide quality care
for most illnesses and minor injuries. No appointments are necessary,
and care is provided for a wide range of ages (infants, 6 months and older,
to senior adults) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
Patients with life-threatening or possible loss of limb emergencies should
seek care at the North Oaks Medical Center Emergency Department.
