The North Oaks Sports Medicine team is honoring Zachary Clark, Jamie Gibson,
Devin King and Amber Landry as “Student-Athletes of the Month.”
Springfield High School’s Zachary Clark, a senior, has a 3.7 Grade
Point Average (GPA). He plays shortstop on the baseball team and went
five-for-six at the plate and pitched two shutout innings in the season’s
first scrimmage, shares Head Baseball Coach John Pace. He recently accepted
a baseball scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University and is being
scouted by several Major League Baseball teams, Pace adds. He also runs
track and plays football, a sport in which he was named All-District and
All-Parish Athlete. The 18-year-old is the son of Allen and Dotti Clark.

with a vault of 17 feet, 10 ¼ inches at the New Balance National
Indoor High School Championships in New York. Despite a busy traveling
schedule, he maintains a 3.1 GPA. The 18-year-old is the son of Floyd

she was named First Team All-District and has received honors each year
she has played, according to Softball Coach Hollie Thompson. “She
is an amazing young lady, showing character on the field at all times,
and leading her teammates to excellence by always working hard.”
Thompson adds. She recently signed with Tyler Junior College in Tyler,
Texas, and plays for the Louisiana Patriots, an elite summer softball
team based in Baton Rouge. The 17-year-old is the daughter of Paul and
