Optometrist Addie Smith, OD, has joined the staff of
North Oaks Eye Care Clinic in Hammond, Louisiana.
New patient appointments for adults and pediatric patients (including infants)

From performing annual eye exams for adults and children of all ages to
prescribing eye wear and medications, Dr. Smith offers complete vision
care to her patients. Her areas of specialty include: contact lens and
specialty fits, such as Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP), scleral and multifocal;
as well as diagnosis, management and therapeutic treatment of ocular diseases,
including, but not limited to diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and eye infections.
A native of Amite, Louisiana and a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana,
Dr. Smith comes to North Oaks from private practices in Slidell and Gonzales,
Louisiana, where she was an associate optometrist for the past year. She
graduated cum laude with her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern
College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She performed an externship
through Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas providing eye care to active
duty military personnel. She also went on to obtain advanced training
by completing a residency in Family Practice Eye Care in the Livingston
Parish area. Prior to earning her Optometry degree, she graduated summa
cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s
degree in Chemistry.
North Oaks Eye Care Clinic is located in Suite 100 on the first floor of
North Oaks Office Plaza at 15770 Paul Vega, MD, Drive in Hammond. Clinic
hours of operation are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays.
