North Oaks Physician Group as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA) with

Herrin comes to North Oaks with 14 years of experience serving the Baton
Rouge area as a PA specializing in general orthopaedics. He provides care
for patients with arthritis pain, fractures of all types, muscle and joint
injuries, nerve-related pain, bursitis and tendonitis. Finding the source
of pain and developing a treatment plan to prevent recurrent episodes
are his areas of specialty.
Herrin earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine through the Physician
Assistant Program of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center
in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is certified by the
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Physician Assistants are nationally certified, state-licensed medical professionals
who practice on medical teams under the supervision of a physician. PAs
are qualified to take medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose
and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, develop treatment plans,
offer preventive care counseling, assist in surgery, write prescriptions
and round on hospitalized patients.
