Heart Health Services Administrative Assistant Jennifer has received the
North Oaks Health System Employee of the Month Award for December 2016.
"Never underestimate the power of a smile, a listening ear or the
smallest act of kindness," Jennifer shares.
Jennifer joined the North Oaks Department of Laboratories in 2001 as a
Clerical Assistant. In 2005, she transferred to Patient Services as Telemetry
and Medicine Units Secretary, and in 2011, she became Heart Health Services
Secretary. She was promoted to her current position in 2014.
Jennifer has been recognized as an Employee of the Month twice before in
November 2008 and May 2011.
Born in New Orleans, she graduated from Belle Chasse High School and attended
Southeastern Louisiana University.
Jennifer and her husband Scott make their home in Ponchatoula with their
14-year-old daughter Mallorie, who attends St. Thomas Aquinas Regional
Catholic High School.
Jennifer considers herself a “people” person and sets a personal
goal each day to positively impact the life of a patient, visitor or coworker.
"Jennifer puts her heart and soul into her work and has a gift for
making you feel as if you are her only priority. Staff members across
the health system count on her as a ‘go to’ resource. We are
fortunate to have such a model employee advocating for our patients, staff,
health system and community,” affirms Christi Marceaux, Vice President
of Health Health Services.
