Patient Services Manager Cheryl has received North Oaks Health System's
Leader of the Month Award for January 2018.
Cheryl joined the North Oaks team in 2005 as an Infusion Therapy Staff
Nurse and quickly earned the duties of Infusion Therapy Charge Nurse later
that year. In 2011, she was promoted to Infusion/Wound Ostomy Continence
Manager and transferred to the role of Patient Services Manager in 2016.
“Making sure our staff is equipped with the resources and knowledge
they need to care for our patients in a skillful, safe and comforting
manner is more than my job," Cheryl explains. "It's my calling."
Cheryl graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s
degree in Nursing after realizing she possessed a strong aptitude for it.
Cheryl and her husband Dean live in Amite with their two children –
Dawson, 13, and Danica, 12.
Away from work, Cheryl enjoys reading, cooking and sightseeing. Most of
all, she values time with her immediate and extended family.
Cheryl belongs to the Oncology Nursing Society and the Infusion Nursing Society.
