above and beyond in caring for patients, visitors or coworkers at the
hospital. She volunteered in the community as a health educator speaking
on topics such as exercise, nutrition and mental health. Ingolia also
served as the Johns Hopkins chapter leader for Primary Care Progress,
which is a national organization that trains students and residents to
become leaders in the field. In addition, she contributed to research
projects in both the Infectious Disease and Rheumatology departments at
Johns Hopkins.
Ingolia graduated with honors from Southeastern Louisiana University with

her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine
in New Orleans. While in medical school, she served as a counselor for
Camp Tiger, a summer camp for disadvantaged and special needs children.
For three years prior to medical school, she worked as a medical assistant
at Hammond-area physician clinics with Pulmonologist
Katherine St. Amant, MD, Internal Medicine Physicians
Nicholas Stevens, MD, and the late Clifford Williams, MD.
“I am incredibly passionate about primary care medicine. My community
is my home. I truly believe it is my duty to advocate for my patients
and recognize that each of my patients is a unique individual not defined
by their disease or medical condition(s),” Ingolia asserts. “I
also believe in community health education. I want to be a resource for
my patients and the community when it comes to health and wellness –
especially preventive care.”
During her residency with Johns Hopkins, Ingolia also received extensive
training in Hospital Medicine, which is the area of medicine specializing
in the care of hospitalized patients. She will employ this training on
an as needed basis as a member of the
