Pediatric Unit Staff Registered Nurse Brittany has received the North Oaks
Health System Nurse Excellence Award for March 2018.
As a new graduate, Brittany was accepted to the North Oaks ACORN residency
program for nurses in January 2015. During her residency, she gained experience
in many areas of Women & Children's Services before accepting
a full-time Staff Registered Nurse position on the OB/GYN Unit in April
2015. Ultimately, she followed her passion for caring for children and
transferred to the Pediatric Unit as a Staff Registered Nurse in June 2017.
"Helping to nurse children back to health and giving them a reason
to smile are the greatest rewards," shares Brittany.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana
University.
Brittany and her husband Aaron live in Albany and are expecting their first
child! They belong to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Independence.
Away from work, Brittany devotes her time to her family, friends and her pets.
