Imaging Records Analyst Melanie has received the North Oaks Health System
Employee of the Month Award for December 2017.
Melanie joined the North Oaks team 19 years ago in her current position
of Imaging Records Analyst.
"My purpose is serving and helping others," Melanie shares.
She was born in Independence and attended Woodland High School in Amite.
Melanie and her husband Derrick Sr. live in Hammond. They have five adult
children – Ciara, Megan, Derrick Jr., Jyne and Randall. They also
have twelve grandchildren -- Tiera, Cole, Joule, Jaydné, Paris,
Payton, Josiah, Michael, Katlynn, Lathan, Kaci and Keontta.
Melanie is an active member of Greater Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church
in Hammond. She serves as a greeter, treasurer of the Pace Ministry, and
helps with the Audio/Tape and Marriage Ministries as well.
Away from work, Melanie’s takes full advantage of Louisiana as a
Sportsman’s Paradise. She likes to hunt, crab and fish, with yard
work and shopping thrown in for good measure!

and a gift for making you feel special. If she sees a patient in need
of anything, she takes care of it personally. Her care for others is genuine.”
