Dietetic Internships

Thank you for your interest in the North Oaks Medical Center Dietetic Internship program located in Hammond, Louisiana. The NOMC dietetic internship has a dual concentration in Medical Nutrition Therapy and Food Service Management. Interns can expect to spend at least 24 hours per week participating in supervised practice activities. Our program is unique in the fact that this is a part time program making part time employment possible.

Upon completion of the program graduates will receive a verification statement and will be eligible to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists.

The NOMC dietetic internship accepts nine interns each year through computerized matching in the spring. The program begins in June and ends in June the following year.
